SUSTAINABILITY

Waste, Water & Effluents

Water plays a crucial role in our operations and the broader ecosystems we inhabit. It is a fundamental resource in our production processes; therefore, responsible water consumption and effective wastewater management are essential to the sustainability of our operations, as well as the communities and environments in which we operate.

We strive to minimize our water usage and carefully manage our effluents, ensuring they are treated and discharged responsibly. By doing so, we aim to reduce our impact on local water resources, contribute to preserving water quality, and ultimately sustain the health of the aquatic ecosystems on which our industry depends.

Grobest utilizes natural resources as inputs for aquaculture feed production and generates waste through its manufacturing processes. The significant actual and potential impacts of this waste include odor, microplastic contamination, and land and water pollution.

We prioritize compliance with the laws and regulations in every jurisdiction where we operate, whether through self-management or outsourced contractors. Additionally, we strive to progressively reduce our waste output by minimizing resource use and maximizing recycling efforts.
